this clip is funny to me due to the major hustling/shuffling going on
down under. why is the fatguy's legs hustlin so quickly?
hahahha... watch it 'till the end... he eats it although i have a
theory that it's staged... pissy fatguy's are fun to watch...
Rap:

i know rap is a dying breed 'n all w/ the youth (at the hands of this
rock/emo/punk generation) and it's more nostalgic for many of us
"oldies", but for those that absolutely love rap... down to it's real
full essence that points back to hip-hop culture....

don't you agree that common (formerly known as common sense) is an AMAZING rapper? talk about timeless...

given that i concur w/ a lot of stuff he says, he DOES say things that
i'm completely against as well... i.e. his song, G.O.D. (gaining
one's definition) would be a bit too post modern for me... but yea, the
mere fact that he makes you think should be enough to peep him out.

this sunday nights performance at 7:45PM:

Technology:

okay, i know many of you skip the parts in which i speak of technology,
but this one is actually pretty interesting. toshiba has
announced and shipped out their first 4oGB 1.8-inch drives today.
why is this important you ask?

desktop computers typically hold 3.5-inch drives (they're whopping)
laptops typically hold 2.5-inch drives (they're tiny and don't consumer too much power to operate)
ipods and other mp3 players typically hold 1.8-inch drives...............

so hold up a second... think about this... 1.8-inch drives go into
media players... thanks to toshiba, we now officially have the
technology to make an iPod mini have 4oGBs of data... stack multiple
1.8-inch drives into an iPod and we can probably get hundreds of GB's
running. do you see da crajies i speak of? technology is
moving at such a rapid rate right now.. we're living in interesting
times...

you know.. i was thinking about mourning the
other day. is mourning for yourself, or is it purely for the
deceased? i would believe that it's the latter. when you
mourn for someone, it should have NOTHING to do w/ you. you are
expressing great sorrow for someone else... anything otherwise
would be disrespectful to the dead.

obviously death is a very sensitive subject and i'm somewhat of a jerk
to be bringing something like this up, but dang... how often do you see
people that use the deceased as a tool for an attention shift
to themselves? how crazy is that? it TOTALLY defeats the
purpose of mourning in my eyes. i personally believe that the
time of mourning is a special time solely focused on the dead.
given that there obviously needs to be a shift EVENTUALLY on the ones
affected by death, BUT please... give your condolences to the dead
first.. mourn properly, then when your respects have been paid,
only then should you focus on your pain.

now... death isn't something that comes to many of us on a normal
basis... i think i just used this illustration to bring it's template
to a greater meaning behind it all.. that meaning would be love and
compassion. those are things we can use each day... i believe the
main point in proper mourning is separation of ones self from the
situation at hand. to purely focus on the other person w/ out
thinking of yourself. that is a powerful reflection of love and
compassion.

does anyone jive w/ what i'm saying here? comments/opinions/disagreements/confusions welcomed.

Beef:

i mentioned this the other day but the only two beefs that are actually
good well done would be brisket and prime rib. ANY other red
meats 'gotta be medium rare or rare for it to be proper. well
done beef is just out of the freaking question. don't expect me
to respect you if you're a well done man... hahaha (i kid.. but not
really....) brisket and prime rib have a completely different
taste when cooked well done that brings out the beef flavor while other
beef, the more well done, the less meat taste you get.

i also don't particularly like when folks use wet marinade on their
beef. it's all about the dry action.. A1 can eat balls for you
poser beef lovers. i have mucho respect for brazilian style bbq
because it takes it to the essence of bbq. it's based on the
quality of the meat, the salt that brings out the BEEF FLAVOR, and the
way it's cut and even put in your damn mouth. this is beef... not
bells and whistles...

going back to the wet marinade vs. the dry marinade. i've learned
that most people that truly love beef prefer a dry marinade... while
the meat n00bs dowse their beef w/ wet sauces... do 'yall see where i'm
getting at here? they're not looking for beef flavor.. they're
looking for sauce flavor... i personally believe that sauce revolves
around itself while dry marinade points back to the beef.

case in point... take your ass to a brazilian bbq place... you'll get
complimented on the type of beef you choose along w/ the way you eat
it...

now that some of you are butt hurt or offended by my beef w/ beef...
the ONE rule that ALWAYS nullifies ANY of my food snobiness is FREE
FOOD. free food is the best food... i will NEVER complain on free
food made w/ love. so if you ever decide to make my snobby a$$
eat your food, TRUST ME, i'll appreciate and love it, even though it
tastes like a cardboard box.

that is all...
